note about online

there is the aspect of this current hyper-connected internet, primarily social media era, that worries me. i was incredibly lucky to have completed high school at a time when i practically was the only one with a digital camera at school. & when mobile phones were a new oddity not yet used properly as well as taken advantage of. it’s a legitimate threat that as a kid you could be publicly humiliated online for what some call ‘clout’, what i’d call some kind of temporary social status, especially when coupled with social media & the kid’s school. kids are cruel but may grow out of it. the internet is written in ink, mark. & humans don’t often understand their own behavior.
